You know the feeling. A book in your hands, a chair that holds you, light falling exactly where it should. The world carries on somewhere and asks nothing of you. An hour passes. We look for the hotels where that hour is possible, far from any city, and we measure them before anyone writes a word.
Five marks, one question
Can you read here?
Every hotel in the register carries one of five marks. The first is a promise, the second a measurement, the last three are a selector's hour of reading. Readers notice a place, BYBOOKMARK checks it, BYBOOKMARK rates it. The further right, the more books to pack.

Eighty years later, hotels are rated for the softness of the bed, the view and the flowers. Nobody asks whether you can sit down with a book and stay. We do: a selector measures every declared corner, and then reads there for sixty minutes.

How a reader's corner becomes a mark
You find it. We measure it.
The hotel, the chair, the hour. A photograph if you have one, and what you were reading.
The institute checks the hotel online against the Online Screening Standard. Most proposals stop here, honestly.
If it passes, the hotel is invited to register. You are credited as the reader who found it, if you wish.
Announced, never staged. Sixty minutes, one book, the same protocol as every other selector.
Readers propose and share. Only a measurement and an hour of reading decide a mark.
We ask every reader whether they have a link to the hotel. Hotels cannot propose themselves here.
Voices appear after a short review. We never edit what you felt, only what we cannot confirm.

A certificate cannot be bought. Screening and listing are free; a fee pays only for a check or a visit, never for the result.

Your collection of hotels or villas, in one programme.
A hotel chain, a villa collection, a portal or a national tourism organisation enters the Corporate Programme: the whole portfolio is screened, verified and certified at once, at the public price list, paid in advance. You buy the scope and use the content and marketing of the reading community: the photographs, the Magazine, the lists, the announcement of the edition. The outcome cannot be bought; every programme is published with two numbers, reviewed and certified.
